Being pretty identical to Archer in Fate/stay night, and the game having many crossover characters such as Tohsaka Rin, is it not safe to assume that Playable Archer is Heroic Spirit Emiya? Not sure if I'm 100% correct, so before making any edits, I thought I'd as here.

It can be assumed, but it's never actually stated in the game or the materials, as far as I know. His true name is just listed as "nameless", which makes sense, since the name "Emiya" would mean nothing to anyone in Extra. (Incidentally the text that's on the page now is directly translated from his Matrix screen.) Wakame 13:21, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
It's almost obvious he's EMIYA though. Every conversation drips of fifth HGW events only Shirou or Archer would know. That said, he IS nameless. In UBW he states that he was different from all other EMIYA's. In a regular situation he's merely a hero of justice, since that's what Shirou wanted to be (thus that's what his legendary spirit would be). It's pointless to name him as Shirou never became famous nor wished to be famous,if he had become famous he would had been Sealed by the magic association due to his Reality Marble (being able to store and reproduce copies of any Noble Phantasm and their history is a very strong ability).66.50.128.108 14:18, January 17, 2014 (UTC)
EMIYA was executed in the aftermath of a war, and somehow contracted Alaya in the process. As far as we know, Extra Archer died saving people from a nuclear power plant undergoing meltdown, and sold himself to Moon Cell for a miracle. Unless you posit that these two events somehow happened to the same individual in the one particular timeline, the natural conclusion we can draw is that they're two distinct personages who happen to look the same and share similar abilities -- and maybe bits of the same life history. Additionally, Extra Archer lived in Extraland, where magecraft was either dead or nearly so by roughly the time the 5th Grail War happened in mainline canon. -- Fallacies (talk) 17:36, January 18, 2014 (UTC)

Skills Edit

Archer functions using an additional in-battle stat called "Projection Accuracy"; presumably this reflects how much time he has spent reinforcing his toys. In Japanese it is simply called "Accuracy of projection" and in English the translation is absolutely horrid, and calls it either "Improve" "Projection" or "Accuracy". I've decided to call it Projection Accuracy for now. This stat goes from 0 (start of a fight) to 5, and boosts the damage of skills as well as their debuffs/chances to debuffs when appropriate. Using skills does not lower your Projection Accuracy.

Pre-Projection: increases Projection Accuracy by 1; leaves you vulnerable, though.

Wings of the Crane: deals ~2.00 times attack damage, this is basically the cross-slash Kanshou/Bakuya combo.

Red Hound - Weaken: deals ~1.25 times attack damage and debuffs Endurance, requires Projection Accuracy 1+.

Red Hound - Fatigue: deals ~1.25 times attack damage and debuffs Strength, requires Projection Accuracy 2+.

???: passive, makes your Projection Accuracy start at 1 instead of 0.

Fortification: increases your Projection Accuracy by 1 when you successfully Guard. It also boosts your defense.

Seven Rings of Heaven (Rho Aias): nullifies an attack, skill or ex-skill, requires Projection Accuracy 4+.

Fake Spiral Sword (Caladbolg II): deals ~3.00 to ~6.00 times attack damage, breaks Guard, requires Projection Accuracy 3+.

Unlimited Blade Works: requires Projection Accuracy 6 (ie, reach 5 and use Pre-Projection one more time) to activate. Although it leaves you vulnerable to an attack after activation, this SIGNIFICANTLY increases the damage and effectiveness of skills (practically doubles damage for Caladbolg) for three turns, as well as changing the arena to the Reality Marble visually and playing the EMIYA theme. After the third round, your Projection Accuracy returns to 0. Can only be used once per fight.

Canaan related to fate/extra? Edit

For some reason I feel that this Archer came from the Canaan series.

The setting seems very similar, being a mercenary and all but he just never made an appearance (or was probably dead).

Archer's LoverEdit

Okay I've got some info on the lover and according to what I've found, it is confirmed that Archer's Lover was not Saber, Rin or Sakura. The Players of the Games (Fate/stay night and Extra) I've interviewed have all cofirmed this. Stating that in his original Universe Shirou never developed a relationship with any of the Heroines.

Also while not really important, they even suggested that there's some kind of possibility that he may have even killed Sakura and Rin during the Grail War in his universe (althought I, think that's absolute bull, because 1) I can't believe it and 2) I myself have played the games and saw and heard no such thing ever occuring.ChroniclerV (talk) 18:06, January 7, 2015 (UTC)

Well anyway since this is out of the TM Company's source info, and purely Independent research. It may not be valid for sure. So we just need to wait.ChroniclerV (talk) 18:09, January 7, 2015 (UTC)
