Why does this exist?

Does Saberface really need its own page?Gudao (talk) 20:15, September 17, 2015 (UTC)

It's a concept and running joke that's spread through eleven pages here and TM works in general, so having a centralized page for it makes sense. EGGS (talk) 20:19, September 17, 2015 (UTC)
But it's still just a running gag. It's nothing significant outside of that. Excluding Grey's interactions with Waver, Saberface serves no purpose other than being a joke/milking scheme. Are we going to give "Lancer Is Suffering" its own page as well?Gudao (talk) 22:44, September 17, 2015 (UTC)
It's an existing, sorta-official term that sums up the Saber clone thing, so it can be linked here every time it comes up in the future rather than having to explain it on the page. It can say "X looks like Saber" without having to delve into the meta joke on each page. Other meta jokes, so long as they are used in something official, can be mentioned on pages depending on their relevancy. Putting a development section in the Lancer article and citing parody material for the whole bad luck thing would be fine. EGGS (talk) 23:17, September 17, 2015 (UTC)
It looks like a meme (just like Lancer's bad luck or "Rejoice, boy") to me. In Japan they called this "Saberclone", and this include Arthur and d'Eon. I dont think this is necessary... Areszzjay (talk) 09:36, September 18, 2015 (UTC)
The term is used in Grand Order's code, so it's official enough. Yokushi (talk) 11:46, September 18, 2015 (UTC)
So, its an ascended meme? Looks like you might as well add other TYPE-MOON memes then. Or Nasu-tsunderes. Or other Nasu-archetypes. Areszzjay (talk) 12:46, September 18, 2015 (UTC)
The difference between this and stuff like the suffering Lancers is that this (the out of universe Takeuchi Saber fetish and the in-universe Joan/Saber similarity in Zero and Grand Order) is a real phenomenon that just happens to have a meme name. Even without this name, it's something that happens frequently enough that one gathering place for the information is good. But as I said, anything like that used in official materials is fair game to put into articles under the proper sections (such as Development). EGGS (talk) 15:43, September 18, 2015 (UTC)

Areszzjay, I think you're going out of your way to complain about this. The term has cropped up in official Type Moon Material, so we're using that to our advantage to group information in a way that benefits people. Whether it is an 'ascended meme' is irrelevant, and no, we may not as well count every other meme under the sun because they've not been addressed as a pattern by the company itself. It's a falacy to assume that just because one thing gained recognition on the wiki, they all should. --Hawkeye2701 (talk) 01:20, September 19, 2015 (UTC)

What about...

Does Morgan le Fay count for this list?
