Satsujinki[edit source]

Shouldn't there be a mention of Shiki's potential future, Satsujinki, from Talk? Considering both the Talk page and the Merem Solomon page link back to here when Satsujinki is mentioned, it seems only logical to explain 203.219.157.120 12:11, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Unactivated Eyes[edit source]

Tohno does NOT have the ability to turn his eyes on and off. This means his glasses are his sealing power. In Tsukihime cgs, before he gets his glasses, he has blue eyes ( here ), and as can be seen here when he has his glasses off in a mugshot, he has blue eyes.

In Kagetsu Tohya, he has grey eyes with his glasses on ( here ), we don't see a cg of him with them off. In Melty Blood, his artwork has grey eyes except on his Arc Drive portrait ( here ), and his sprite has blue eyes till he puts on his glasses in his win pose, as can be seen from the sprite rips here. However, there is an inconsistency, in that in this portrait he has grey eyes, no glasses on. What makes even less sense is that it appears for his last arc as well, where he is clearly using Mystic Eyes, even the ability name lists it as it's use.

Therefore, we have to assume this portrait is incorrect, because on top of this, I don't think it's merely that the material the glasses are made of stop him seeing lines, it's that it actually seals the eyes. Otherwise, he'd see lines in the corners of his vision. --User:81.103.44.251 03:40, 2 February 2009

And the problem with seeing lines on the corners is that it would be the kind of thing to drive a person mad, worse than just seeing the lines themselves.
Also, he means "the material the glass is made of". --Raijinili 06:55, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
"Actually, his eyes only glow blue when he INTENDS to use his eyes. When he doesn't have any plans on using his eyes while he has his glasses off, they'll remain grey. This is the same as Ryougi, who also can't turn her eyes on or off at will, but they still change colour when she wants to kill something. In Melty Blood, the only times Shiki uses his Mystic Eyes are when he uses his Arc Drive/Last Arc. His Ex-Skills don't use his Mystic Eyes at all. It's like how a normal person's pupils dilate when they're full of adrenaline. Shiki's eyes turning blue are just an effect of his will to kill." 76.171.121.55 22:39, July 30, 2010 (UTC)
I haven't read the novels but from what I can tell in the movies Ryougi seems to be able to turn her eyes off and on. I don't know where the idea that the eyes only glow blue when its possessor has the intent to kill came from but if we assume that the blue glow is the effect of the eyes being activated then Tohno Shiki's eyes should be blue all the time, even if the glasses are on (unless as stated above, the glasses deactivates eyes). It is also possible that since the glasses block the effect of his eyes, the eyes appear as their natural color when you look at his eyes through the glasses.
It's a fact that they can't turn it off, period. Ryougi says so as soon as she wakes up from her coma, and nothing, not even the movies, ever remotely hint that she can ; as for Tohno, it's ridiculous to even discuss it. As for the actual color, it's obvious that their eyes are not blue all the time - that's why the article talks about the intent to kill to begin with. And it's just fucking retarded to say it has anything to do with the glasses - considering there are times where Tohno isn't wearing his glasses, and nobody goes "hey wtf what's up with your eyes glowing blue". In Tohno's case, it's probably related to his original Jougan, which we already know should be blue or silver (color of anti-demon powers). This here is just stupid. --Byakko 19:17, November 26, 2010 (UTC)
I think its more like his eyes give a glow as same as lines he can see. Therefore the glow is visible only when its really dark. That also explains why random people never goes "What the hell is wrong with your eyes?!" ~~Chris Matters 89.79.209.13 16:24, August 24, 2011 (UTC)

Nanaya's Mystic Eyes[edit source]

Where does it say Nanaya has the MEoDP?

And is this just Wallachia's version or does W.Len's Nanaya also have them? Spootlez 18:12, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

Does Nanaya Shiki really care for others around him in MBAA? I dont remember there is even a thing like that. Maybe that info comes from MBAACC, doesnt it?
"Only once has his Nanaya side surfaced in a similar way to that of an alternate personality, and that was under great stress and a very difficult situation for Shiki." When was it?
It's probably referring to the chat with SHIKI in Kohaku's route. EGGS 18:26, May 8, 2012 (UTC)
No, it was when Shiki was fighting Akiha in Kohaku's route. It outright mentions him snapping and becoming Nanaya.
"My headache stops.
Tohno Shiki dies. Nanaya Shiki saunters out of the dark night."

Hi. I was reading one of the quotes by Nanaya Shiki when he defeats Hisui in Melty Blood Actress Again. It says:

"Just because it's not pitch black at night anymore doesn't mean human eyes have become better. Stop walking around at night. You should stay locked up in that mansion for your own safety."

I was actually surprised that he cares about Hisui safety, but ignores if Kohaku or Akiha is alive or not. Is because Hisui was the "nicest" to him before he got brainwashed by Makihisa, or after that?

And Kouma actually said that he "tried to be human", not only that, but Nanaya even said that he had some "lingering affections", is this somehow linked to that?

I can't really think that this is actually true Nanaya Shiki (The one that died after SHIKI got insane) but just a massive form of fear for Tohno Shiki that used his Nanaya as a reference.
