TheodoricWP (Alter) (テオドリックWP〔オルタ〕, Teodorikku (Oruta)?, localized as Theodric (Alter)[1]), Class Name Avenger (アヴェンジャー, Avenjā?), is a Avenger-class Servant summoned during the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.
Profile[]
Identity[]
One of the spirits that make up the legendary Wild Hunt. The embodiment of the storm and the host of the dead. Theodoric Alter is the former King of the Ostrogoths, and also served as the origin for the legend of the heroic knight Dietrich von BernWP.
The reason he is an Alter is because he once stood against the Count of Monte Cristo, and thus an Alter Saint Graph was drawn from the flames of vengeance, causing the paired spirits to tragically sink into becoming an Avenger instead of being part of the Human Order.[2]
Appearance[]
He is estimated to be over ten meters in length.[2]
Theodoric Alter is covered in jagged dark gray and silver armor that is open from his abdomen to his neck. The exposed section of the armor reveals his skeleton, though it is unknown if his entire body is also without flesh. His hands are clawed and his head is completely concealed by a horn covered crown-like helmet. His positioning on La Bête du Gévaudan also suggests that he may not have a waist or legs and is physically connected to his mount by the torso.
La Bête du Gévaudan resembles a nightmarish amalgamation of a horse and a wolf. It has the armored hind legs and saddled body of a horse, the clawed front legs of a wolf, and the heads of both. Each head has black jagged horns and are blindfolded.
Personality[]
Role[]
Fate/Grand Order[]
Id: Irreversible Waste Hole[]
According to Alessandro di Cagliostro and a flashback, both Theodoric and the Beast of Gévaudan manifested once before in the south of France, where they rampaged for seven decades. They were found and slain by the Count of Monte Cristo in 1838 to prevent them stealing the chance to torment Fernand from the Count, but such an event is a hidden part of history.[2]
Abilities[]

Theodoric's Spear.
Theodoric's mount is La Bête du Gévaudan (ラ・ベート・デュ・ジェヴォーダン?), the Beast of GévaudanWP known as the Phantasmal of Annihilation (殲滅妖獣?)[1]. Theodoric can conjure a storm of lightning while his mount can summon waves of flames with its claws.
Jeanne d'Arc Alter is shocked that his magical energy is on the level of a Divine Spirit, even though Theodoric is not one.[2] Antonio Salieri initially believed him to be a conceptual existence, but he eventually realises it is the opposite: Theodoric's Saint Graph is nothing less than pure size and strength. Nothing more than sky-high offensive and defensive power, with magical energy on par with the Machine Gods.[2]
He is also able to repeatedly summon Lightning Birds (ライトニングバード?), also know as the Wings of Thunder, from his storm. These beasts are not just mere Familiars or Demonic Beasts, but are Nature Spirits; a subspecies of Divine Spirits that are incarnations of lightning. Despite this, they are far from actual Nature Spirits, and more Theodoric's distorted anger called upon as a subordinate. He can also summoned "Tempest Wolves", a form of wolf-like demonic beast. The King of Storms has no end of underlings related to the storm.[2]

Noble Phantasm[]
His Noble Phantasm is Tempest of Destruction (破滅の大嵐, Hametsu no Ōarashi?), which fires several dark magical blasts from his trailing shadows at his target while he charges his spear with power before throwing it like a lightning bolt, causing a huge electrical explosion.
According to Cagliostro, the Wild Hunt also has a defensive Noble Phantasm in the form of an Invisible Storm (見えざる嵐?) to protect him, leading to a great deal of confidence. This storm is one of immense pressure which a living mind without resistance cannot endure for long. It is limitless fear of doom and loss, it is electromagnetic stress that torments the cranial nerves; entering that storm, if a person doesn't commit a sudden crazed suicide, then that person's brain nerves will be outright severed and their face hemorrhaging. However, the offensive power of his Saint Graph is the much more fearsome aspect.[2]
