The Ortenaus Shield is the main armament of Mash Kyrielight in her Ortenaus (オルテナウス, Orutenausu?, localized as "Ortinax") Spirit Origin Exoskeleton system. To compensate for the lack of Galahad's abilities, it's outfitted with a few magitek-based abilities. First, the physical shield is outfitted with small thrusters to aid with physical strikes. The tall end of the shield is contains the Bunker Bolt, a pile bunker which can be also used to brace for using skills and Mold Camelot.
In the Atlantic Lostbelt, Sion Eltnam Sokaris upgrades the shield to contain the Black Barrel, a formidable weapon of destruction. A command seal is required for Mashu to fire. After the shot, Ritsuka is drained of energy and unable to move. While a replica of the original, the Ortenaus Black Barrel was still capable of bringing down Demeter, Aphrodite, and Zeus, who were all gods.
