Report of pop-up ad infestion in mobile version[edit source]

Mobile version of this site is seemed being infested by pop-up ad, causing me to frequently seeing it popping up during visits, other subsidiary wikis do not seemed to have this issue (at least for fate/grand order wiki & gundam wiki). I know wiki admins may not be able to do anything about it (in case mobile version of wikis is managed by separated personel) but informing you at least give me hope that this problem reporting will most likely reach people that responsible for running the mobile version.

Thank you

I sent a support message. You can do so as well here. If you provide a screenshot, they can likely better figure out if there is an issue. EGGS (talk) 01:31, January 28, 2019 (UTC)

Edit error.[edit source]

Hey, you accidently caused a reference error with your latest edit on Photon Ray. I can't fix it since I have no idea where the problem is other than it has to do with Fairy Snow Photon Ray being added, somehow. Just to let you know in case you didn't.

Great King of Destruction[edit source]

What would your thoughts be on the "King" page? Should i leave it, remove the title entirely, or remove the great? I cant read such characters, so I wanted your thoughts. Zahadrin (talk) 22:37, March 11, 2019 (UTC)

It depends on the context of the wording. Is it an active title, or a one time descriptor? EGGS (talk) 14:21, March 12, 2019 (UTC)
Doesnt seem to matter, you can check the Talk page on "King" for details. Sorry i brought it up. Zahadrin (talk) 22:34, March 12, 2019 (UTC)

Hey EGGS, thanks for the message and the help. I would dispute having to have separate categories for religious Jews vs ethnic Jews considering that Judaism is an ethnoreligion, however. SacroMundi (talk) 01:56, May 19, 2019 (UTC)

Wiki Manager introduction[edit source]

Hello, I'm Flanqer, and I'm the Wiki Manager for the TYPE-MOON Wiki. I introduced myself in Discussions, but wanted to drop you a personal message since you're the active admin. I'm here to help you and your community, and to be a liaison to full-time Fandom Staff. If you ever have any questions related to the wiki, whether it's about editing, styling, infoboxes, policy, etc, please contact me on my talk page.

(Don't take the "manager" part of my title seriously. For a clearer explanation of my role, see the announcement on Community Central.)

Affiliation[edit source]

Hello Type-Moon Admin EGGS,

As you are the only active admin I can find here in Type-Moon Wiki, do you welcome the idea of being affiliated with the Overlord Wiki? I can't seem to find any affiliation requirements from this wiki, so I was wondering if there is any that needs to be met before doing so.

Admin Disfigure (talk) 17:20, June 5, 2019 (UTC) from the Overlord Wiki

Sure, nothing special. Feel free to toss it on the main page. EGGS (talk) 00:23, June 6, 2019 (UTC)

Thank you as always for approving our wiki affiliation.

Admin Disfigure (talk) 00:51, June 6, 2019 (UTC) from the Overlord Wiki

Watcher[edit source]

But what othwr entities can you pin designs like "a young boy with skeletal wax and feathered wings? Or Sea Captains with a fake leg, cane, and blatantly saying hed normally be an Avenger? Those sound pretty specific to me. Zahadrin (talk) 21:47, June 23, 2019 (UTC)

Yes, those along with half of the Learn with Manga Servants are completely obvious, but we'll await official revelations. The difference for Asclepius is Narita tweeting four different tweets explaining the difference between LB4 Asclepius and shadow Asclepius. The only thing he doesn't actually do is state the name, but there is no other LB4 Servant it could even reasonably ever be anyways. The only way to reasonably list the information is to name him, otherwise it would just need to be needlessly vague dodging around stating his name while still linking to Asclepius' article. That would just look dumb. EGGS (talk) 21:58, June 23, 2019 (UTC)
Oh, i see. I was unaware of the tweet that he made. Zahadrin (talk) 22:08, June 23, 2019 (UTC)

Request to add links![edit source]

Hello, is it possible that you can list the Type-Moon and Fate Discords on the wiki? the link is

This server is basically the fate and type-moon discord server. It has over 3k members and is also the official discord of the fate/stay night and type-moon subreddits on Reddit. I would also, appreciate it if you linked the Fate/Stay Night and the Type-Moon subreddit on the wiki. It would be useful for people who use Reddit. I would appreciate it if you were affiliated with us.

Thank you.

I'm Sorry..But my photo 74569280 p0 master1200.jpg be deleted..i'm not known Why and who did this.

I would hope help...thank.

Mahoyo[edit source]

Re: Sorry I was the one who requested to delete, I had my evidences for doing so

"It appears to have a connection with consumption and extinction.[13]" in Aozaki_Aoko page

The reason I requested a deletion is that [13] sourced  Mahou Tsukai no Yoru - Bearing the principles of consumption and extinction, the newest magician launched her attack!

However the quote is from Chapter 6. A part of the story where the Fifth Magic have not yet entered in action:

Would you consider my request or not? 09:56, July 28, 2019 (UTC)

I haven't bothered to read Mahoyo yet due to Translation Never, but makes sense to remove it if that context is correct. EGGS (talk) 20:09, July 29, 2019 (UTC)

HGW[edit source]

Why was my edit changed? Its simple math. If the Fourth War occurred in 1994, then the Third War exactly sixty years prior had to occur in 1934, the Second in 1874, and the First in 1814. This is one of the few details that has never been changed, so I honestly do not understand how it negatively impacts the site. Please let me know.

They have never been officially revealed, and the 3HGW happened during WWII. Those "around XXXX" are from CM3, so they are seemingly purposely vague for the reason of being able to later establish exact dates. EGGS (talk) 04:18, August 1, 2019 (UTC)

Page background and transparency[edit source]

If you don't mind some constructive criticism, may I suggest that you reduce the page transparency in the wiki's theme settings? Transparency looks cool, but it can also be distracting, and may cause some people to have trouble reading the text.

A better alternative would be to use a background image that has the most interesting parts on the sides, where it won't be obscured by the page text. The Witcher and Devil May Cry wikis are good examples of this.

Flanqer (Talk) 03:34, August 12, 2019 (UTC)

I feel like the current contrast is fine, but I could just be used to it. It looks fine on any device I've used, but I don't know if there's any difference on other devices. EGGS (talk) 14:40, August 12, 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for that. I really appreciate it.

Redirects[edit source]

Kind of annoying. But whatever makes you happy. I'm very OCD when it comes to things like that though. --Mirrorthesoul (talk) 13:24, September 7, 2019 (UTC)

It allows for ease of editing and the tracking of what pages use what term. It also allows for ease of page moving. If, hypothetically, we were to split Waver and Lord El-Melloi II for some weird reason, the split would be extremely easy with the redirects in place. EGGS (talk) 13:41, September 7, 2019 (UTC)

Foreignoer Class Card[edit source]

Can we leave it as two tabs till a better quality version comes along? Or is that not doable? Zahadrin (talk) 03:00, September 17, 2019 (UTC)

I'm not really used to editing a wiki, but I wanted to replace a picture on Haruri's page (Harui & Filia.png) with a better quality one, however when I tried to upload the new image this warning appeared: File extension ".png" does not match the detected MIME type of the file (image/jpeg). I think it is because the file images are not of the same type, but I'm not sure how to proceed from here. Should I convert the image I have into a png, just ignore the warning, or any other recommendations? Leviatree (talk) 15:44, October 11, 2019 (UTC)

It needs to be the same file type to replace it, so either convert it or just upload it as a new file and replace it. EGGS (talk) 18:32, October 11, 2019 (UTC)

Heaven's Feel[edit source]

I think there's a typo on the page, because I didn't find any "Day 12", even with use of CTRL+F ?--Mgdodl (talk) 09:27, October 19, 2019 (UTC)

Day X is only used in the context of the bad ends currently, so that just means nobody has added any or Day 12 doesn't have any. EGGS (talk) 12:47, October 25, 2019 (UTC)

I would like to ask what happened to the Eye of the Mind (False) and (True) Skills listed under Personal Skills A-F? It is not the only skill that appears to have gone missing either.

Morgan Le Fay as Servant?[edit source]

Regarding Morgan Le Fay, do you believe it is possible for her to be summoned as a Caster-class Servant? Personally, I believe that either Caster or Assassin would suit her best. As for parameters, I suspect:

Yes, but this really isn't the place for that. If you'd like to share speculation/fan fiction, you can use the Discuss tab (though it's quite dead) or a user blog. There's also a fanon wiki where you can make fan fiction articles. EGGS (talk) 20:16, December 5, 2019 (UTC)

Can I talk something over?[edit source]

Hello EGGS

Sorry for bothering you but I don't know who else to ask about this here. There is a certain matter concerning the Type-Moon Wiki which is getting me down at the moment. Due to my current workload, I cannot do anything about it at present, and I don't have confidence in my ability to deal with certain sensitivities connected to it. Rather than let my feelings fester, I thought it would be better to talk it over with someone, and I thought you would be the right person to ask.

Would it be OK to talk to you about this?

Inept Wiki User (talk) 22:54, December 10, 2019 (UTC)

Sure. EGGS (talk) 02:23, December 11, 2019 (UTC)
Sorry for the delay, EGGS. I've been interrupted by a large-scale task while feeling a bit awkward and hesitating somewhat due to a certain anon's blunt approach covering some of what was troubling me. Would it still be OK to talk after the task is out of the way? Inept Wiki User (talk) 17:28, December 20, 2019 (UTC)

Anime (Prisma Illya) Citation[edit source]

Because of your good point and changes on the Prisma Page, I'm trying to do citiations, but I'm relatively new at how to do it. Currently, I don't know how to do it when it comes to the anime sources. WhalBP (talk) 05:58, December 24, 2019 (UTC)

If you mean citations in general, should be used to encapsulate the reference. You can also do and then use to call up the same citation for multiple instances. In general, it'd be best to use the manga for references as it's the primary material and much easier to check. If you're using anime original scenes or just want to cite it anyway, you'd want to do "Series, Season Name, Ep.XX" at least, but "Series, Season Name, Ep.XX, XX:XX-XX:XX" would be the best way to do it. You can explore more on references and other topics here.
Also, while I dislike the relationship sections in general due to how they end up as pools of speculation and nonsense, they're fine to exist. I simply deleted those because they're just hopeless. Ideally, every single sentence should be cited with an objective, neutral mindset. EGGS (talk) 11:58, December 24, 2019 (UTC)

Agree in the regards to the relationship part. I was trying to see it in a neutral mindset based on manga (and anime) material, but it appears that wasn't the case considering what happened, hence why I'm doing citations.  Thanks on the anime citations advice. I'm trying to at least cite anime scenes that was also directly from the manga. --WhalBP (talk) 21:11, December 24, 2019 (UTC)

I originally wrote the articles after noticing that main FSN characters have those as well and felt that Prismas should get their own. I essentially did what you say and wrote it with neutral mindset, but decided to describe girls feeling without typical "may possibly mean maybe", "can possibly hint perhaps", and etc. crap, that tries make girls feelings purposely ambiguous. Main reason why I decided for that is that Prisma in many aspects is "parody" of Nanoha, including "discussability" of the relationship between heroines. But while Nanoha makes relationships truly ambiguous and you can argue whether heroines are just good friends that live together, or actual lesbian lovers, so such ambiguity in description is in place. Prisma goes further and takes "discussability" of their "relationships" from different angle. While you can still argue about nature of their feelings, you can't deny, that there are some "feelings" present. Even official materials are not trying to hide it. So I believe that description should not avoid that or downplay it with some "hinted possibly maybe" crap as well. Series itself even pulls various jokes on this matter as for example Miyu's "I think, I kind of understand it" statement after reading Yaoi manga in one episode. I can understand that this subject is delicate and people may start see shipping everywhere. But I don't think, the description should avoid or "holding back" subject just because of fearing "shipping rage". Series itself doesn't do it. Off course I don't say we should writing that Illya, Miyu and Kuro are lesbians/bisexuals that love each other when series itself never confirmed that. But I think, that some acknowledgment of girls having various levels of crushes on each other is in place. Since it pretty much descript how girls acts towards each other and are portrayed across series. This truly is not Nanoha, where you could say "They are FRIENDS, JUST FRIENDS, there is nothing sexual between them". Sincerely there IS. We can just argue about reasons. :D --Otakuman007 (talk) December 24, 2019 (UTC)

I get the series is using extreme fan service while also trying to maintain ambiguity, but the purpose of this site is to act as an objective as possible. We can list "X happened, Y reacted," but there should be no outside analysis on how Y feels about X. EGGS (talk) 14:10, December 25, 2019 (UTC)
There is no need some analysis. From the perspective of girls' portrayal within series, their feelings are pretty clear.

Illya - not counting moments where her "swich" is triggered, she acts most normal, out of all girls. There is nothing much to write about her in this regard (not even was in my original description). At most is just worth to point out, that she is emotionally confused about Miyu's attachment, or Chloe's manatransfers. And eventually just crying accepts being labeled as "gay" by her classmates, since it's only story that she can think off to cover-up their Magical Girl activities.

Miyu - on other hand has pretty clear crush on Illya, while we can argue whether it's pure platonic crush or full romantic feelings, series do mostly various hints ("I will do better next time scene" scene or Chloe's "you really like Illya, do you?", etc) or jokes ("I kind of understand" scene, etc.), that's it's other option without ever actually make full confirmation. And if we are talking about her relationship with Chloe, it's more ambiguous, but it's undeniable that she is pretty "weak" agaist her sexual assaults and if they last long enough, she even starts showing sighs of desire.

Chloe - her feelings then simply mirror those of Illya's, just in more emotional or desiring way in reflect of her own personality. And not counting need for mana transfer, one can't deny that she finds enjoyment in intimacy with both girls. Just say with what you (dis)agree, or what you need to be referenced and we can redone thing. --Otakuman007 (talk) December 25, 2019 (UTC)

It's because talks like that is why the relationship page was cut off. The issues is (I beleive at least) that they are "hints", not answers (like how they downight said it on Ilya's feelings for Shiro, Beatrice with Julian, etc.; relating to EGG's "X Happened, Y reacted"). As a result, it led us to interpreting those hints how we saw it (differently from both of us apparently). We both saw those "scenes" and "actions" and interpeted how we saw it. Like, despite what you said (I get what you're saying and it make sense), I see those kinda differently (Like in the Miyu kiss with Illya scene, I saw that as more where Miyu, considering her "mindset", is willing to go that far for the sake of friendship which leads to the comedic skit and fanservice to invite many to believe Miyu is crushing on Illya) and I feel the relationship is way more complicated that it can be interpreted in many ways (like in 2wei Chapter 17, and especially after the Drei/3rei chapter 41 and 42). In a certain way, we're kinda like Mimi Katsura in Prisma Illya anime/manga (2wei chapter 17). As a result, I feel I had to agree with EGG on how this kind of conversation should be put somewhere else. The fact, we're kinda still arguing over it further proves it...Hence why I'm doing as much citations as I can and as EGG said, "X happened, Y reacted" to make sure what I say is more fact and not open for interpretation or arguement. WhalBP (talk) 20:56, December 26, 2019 (UTC)

You thinking about whole thing to much "Nanoha's way", which leads you to see "hints" and seek answers. The joke is, that Prisma is not your typical "Are they or not?", but rather "they ARE, but what way?". The counter joke is, while Prisma's approach sounds more definite, is actually not. And offers same scale of interpretations, just from reverse side. So instead of "hints" you see "acts" and instead of answers, you seek reasons. That's essentially approach I suggest to do there. Otakuman007 (talk) December 25, 2019 (UTC)
I don't know this "Nanoha way" (since I didn't watch the anime) so I don't know what to say about that. The only thing I can say is: The fact there is room for interpreation is the issue. Your "acts" and "reasons" make you immediately believe they are "facts" when I see them as "eyecandy", "interpretations" for the sake of fanservice, and sometimes comedy for the story. That merchandise picture you posted is one example of that: the story is aware of the "service" it's bringing and is feeding that desires (making us buy it). I understand when seeing various parts, it makes me feel it should be "that way", but other parts make it feel it's not really the case. Like your romantic feeling statement would contradict a very emotional, powerful, and important chapters that exploits and establishes a lot on their relationship (Drei Ch. 40 and 41) which literally stated how their bond is like "sisters" (or/and "friends") not "romantic interests" (I was originally going to citate that in the relationship page). Another example is the end credits of the Movie where when Miyu met Ilya for the first time; while it felt like destiny, it didn't feel like the kind where Miyu would have a "crush on Illya" (like actual romantic stories). The way I see it, IIlya is what Miyu needed the most because of her past and because of that, Miyu is willing to go so far for it (whehter it's risking her life, or even "crossing the line" as the story have comedically played it). However, if we're going to continue to argue over this, it's all the more reason we shouldn't do relationship on the pages. In fact, it doesn't feel right discussing this issue under this talk page when we should be doing it on something like reddit or a forum. Or at least, I feel we should put this under a new Discussion under a new Talk title as this originally was suppose to be about citations. WhalBP (talk) 05:10, December 27, 2019 (UTC)
Ok, you just proved that you are totally missing point of everything that I was saying until now. >_<
You still totally thinking typical "are they or not?" way. Please don't do it. Stop thinking that way. First, I again say Prisma doesn't work that way, second your attempt to apply it's rules on me leads just to your total misunderstanding of my words, and third, overall that way of thinking leeds just to shipping quarrel (which we both want to avoid), or "possibly maybe perhaps" excuses (which I want to avoid). So stop now. I try to explain my POV to you once again, probably simplest way so I hope that you FINALLY understand. And we can finally move discusion to some result.
Since you are mostly triggered by sentence: "Miyu has obvious crush on Illya", let's focus on that. Despite what your "are they or not?" POV may be telling you, I'm not saying that "Miyu is in romantic love with Illya." I never did that, and I even pointed it out few times. Of course, while there is possible such interpretation of that sentence. True meaning of word "crush" here is "attraction" or "infatuation". Those emotions can be any of kind, but are mostly short-lived and eventually evolve in something else. Depending on the relationship. For comparison, we can say that both Illya and Miyu has crushes on their individual Shirous, but each of those crushes is very different. Illya desires mostly romantic love with her Shirou, while wants be pampered by her brother. It's very different, yet very similar in certain sense. This same, in different sense apply to Miyu's view of Illya. Is indisputable that there is some attraction in this relationship. Some details may be open to some interpretation, but it's not state where you should guess typical "are they or not?" as in Nanoha or any other series containing "questionable girl relationship". So instead of looking for excuses, I suggest calling things directly, but play with context, just as series itself it does. I hope that I'm finally clear. If not, say it, and please don't repeat "are they or not?" mindset, or we move to nowhere. >_< --Otakuman007 (talk) December 27, 2019 (UTC)

Reference Code[edit source]

Hi EGGS, a user asked me about the reference coding and I'm also curious on how did you managed to get this code working on a fandom website. To tell a code to look up a page and use it as a reference. Nikonu (talk) 12:25, December 25, 2019 (UTC)

<section begin="Name"/>  <section end="Name"/>
I think it might have been code that only Fandom staff could import. It's been like six years, but I'll try to see if I can figure it out. EGGS (talk) 14:07, December 25, 2019 (UTC)
I am the user he is refering to, so you are free to put it on my Talk Page or something if you find anything. If you can't its no big deal.
But thank you for trying to find something anyway, even if you can't find anything, you still tried.
Zouken (talk) 05:24, December 26, 2019 (UTC)
Looks like you want this. If it's still the same, you'll need to contact Fandom support for them to put it on your wiki. EGGS (talk)
Alright, thanks for the help. I will contact them when I can.
Zouken (talk) 17:57, December 26, 2019 (UTC)

Hi, I made a change to the Caeneus/Caenis page yesterday, and I was wondering why you changed it back.

In text, this character is referred to with both pronouns, so referring to them with "she/her" in the article doesn't make sense because only Ophelia uses those. Gender neutral pronouns in the vein of d'Eon and Enkidu would make more sense.

Why did you revert my change in "Michael Roa Valdamjong"?[edit source]

I added to the trivia that the nickname "Roa" might be from the Hebrew word for evil, spelled roa. Since he uses Numerology, it's not a far stretch.

Trivia sections are cancerous. With few exceptions, everything should be sourced to primary works. EGGS (talk) 15:37, January 12, 2020 (UTC)

Categories[edit source]

Just a heads up...I'll be creating most of the redlink category pages from here over the next week or so. Apologies for jumping the gun - better to ask permission, right? Aquarius Alodar 10:31, January 22, 2020 (UTC)

No particular issue. Just try to check that all additions are sourced from the main class page. I wanted to get those in order one class at a time because I think some random people have sneaked in "obvious" additions here and there that have yet to be mentioned to actually qualify. EGGS (talk) 11:50, January 22, 2020 (UTC)

Divine Core of the Goddess and Goddess’s Divine Core[edit source]

Greetings EGGS, I had been checking the skills recently and found that their seems to be a personal skill listed twice (once in the A-F category, and another in the G-L category), under the names Divine Core of the Goddess and Goddess’s Divine Core respectively. The latter however seems to be also listed as a sub-heading2 of the Goddess Metamorphosis skill, as such, I’m not quite sure if this was intentional or not, and wanted to bring it to your attention in case it wasn’t intended as such.

P.S. I was hoping to offer a more formal apology regarding how our last discussion left off, however had not yet gotten the chance to. However having gone back and personally acquired the original source material I have confirmed the kanji usage regarding Subcategory Holy Grail Wars, and wish to offer my apologies for the misunderstanding regarding our prior dialogue.

Regards, --ArcaneX (talk) 23:35, February 14, 2020 (UTC)

Yeah, those articles seem to be a bit of a mess between people switching around translations, trying to add in localizations, not all of them having redirects, and just vandalism. I'd assume "Goddess’s Divine Core" is the proper one to go with at this point. They deserve a good once over, but the scope of it is kind of intimidating. EGGS (talk) 00:00, February 15, 2020 (UTC)

FGO Babylonia Anime Servants[edit source]

This is one of them.

In the special episode 0 of Babylonia, there were many servants from FGO. I was wondering if it was right to add pictures of them, and if so where can I put them? In their Fate/Grand Order section or in the Other appearances section?

Hi sorry I wanted to edit a couple of things about the Grand Caster and Foreigner pages, but it looks like my changes were deleted.

Can I ask the why?

Creepy?[edit source]

You seriously consider the description o Rider's and Sakura's bodies creepy? Especially for ero scene that is full of similarly sensual descriptions? o_O --Otakuman007 (talk) April 17, 2020

Just so you know[edit source]

Sorry to bother you EGGS, but I thought I should let you know about something now in case it became a bigger bother later on. You might want to keep a watchful/guiding eye on this one, due to unfortunate tendencies which leave things in their edits which often require cleaning up afterwards. 09:25, May 4, 2020 (UTC)

Kama Information Use[edit source]

Hello there, I was wondering if I could use the information given for Assassin Kama and Beast Kama (I joined an odd community that requires this)? I know the person who made the Beast Kama page is gone so I'm asking you instead.

Rampant Edits[edit source]

Doesn't the classification of Human count only towards living beings, not Servants? And does Ruler/Charles the Great qualify as an Italian Servant, despite his origins from France? I know these aren't big deals, but the edits from said user are numerous to make me concerned. Zahadrin (talk) 19:57, May 12, 2020 (UTC)

There are non-human Heroic Spirits, so, yes, that is meant for those who are and were formerly human. The region ones are supposed to account for both birthplace and place of their legend if they are different. I assume they added it due to him being a king or something in Italy, but I wouldn't really say that makes him an Italian Servant by that definition. EGGS (talk) 21:02, May 12, 2020 (UTC)

Plagiarism[edit source]

Hello, I have noticed that on the pages for the Machine Gods/Olympians that certain descriptions are copy pasted from the FGO TvTropes character page by "a Fandom User", does this count as plagiarism and should it be altered or removed--Orionpaxg1 (talk) 19:56, May 14, 2020 (UTC)

Depends on if it's original text or something copied/pasted from some summary. Also depends on if TT has an edit history chain to show when the text was added. Also depends on if it's someone copying the text from another person, or just the same user editing both sites. Also depends on how they handle the licensing of text added to their site. Richard Edit[edit source]

Why was all that taken out? Zahadrin (talk) 01:48, May 25, 2020 (UTC)

Hello, since you're the person who uploaded this, I wanted to ask you who the woman in the image is, I haven't really seen her anywhere ese on the wiki except for this one image, thanks.

Family members[edit source]

I understand why you took out the queen of sheeba as one of solomon's wifes but what about the daughter of a Pharaoh?? Because she doesn't appear in the story? Then why does Paris have a list of dozens of his brothers and sisters that have never appeared? I'm a bit confused. GuessWhoyYoutube (talk) 14:04, June 15, 2020 (UTC)

The family member section should include characters mentioned in-story, and it shouldn't include vague things like the passing mention that they may or may not have happened. It depends if Paris mentioned all his family members in Atlantis or not. EGGS (talk) 19:25, June 15, 2020 (UTC)
OK thanks. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Could you please check the Caladbolg thing later? You can find Child Fergus' explanation in at 6:08:48. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Fergus talking about a careless swing is in reference to the angry outburst, so seems kind of pointless to double up. EGGS (talk) 22:07, June 15, 2020 (UTC)
So a careless strike being that strong just because he's angry is considered irrelevant? I just don't understand why the OGs such as Artoria have descriptions with very long paragraphs that sometimes are too redundant instead of going straight to the point but saying "With this sword, even a careless strike made in anger can easily annihilate three hilltops. Its full power is great enough to destroy entire landscapes." instead of "it is a high-power and wide-range attack that makes even destruction of the landscape possible" is considered unacceptable. If that is your final say I'll accept it, but I just feel like we should stay consistent all through the wiki. GuessWhoyYoutube (talk) 09:24, June 16, 2020 (UTC)
Because the "careless attack" is his angry outburst from being unable to kill Conchobar that was already described. Rather than a new parameter of the ability, it's just an alternate description of an existing one. We can fix similar issues elsewhere if they exist. EGGS (talk) 11:26, June 16, 2020 (UTC)

About Okita's Three-Stage Thrust seen Fate/type Redline[edit source]

Hi EGGS, since Okita's Noble Phantasma first known in the Fate/type Redline manga, I wondering if I should combined each page panels where Okita uses her Three-Stage Thrust on Nobunaga from Chapter 2.2 like how you combined page panels from Fate/KOHA-ACE manga where Okita uses her NP on Berserker or just uses one panel for now?

AzureJay (talk) 12:17, June 17, 2020 (UTC)

Doesn't really matter either way, whatever best represents the move is fine. EGGS (talk) 21:03, June 17, 2020 (UTC)

What's the wiki's policy on timelines?[edit source]

I've been reading Gil's and Karna's pages and I realize we have Strange Fake Gil listed on a different page compared to  SN/FGO Gil whereas Extra Karna is on the same page as his Apocrypha/FGO counterpart. Why is this? Would it be Ok to make a new page for "Moon" Karna just like Altera's or EMIYA's? --GuessWhoyYoutube (talk) 21:47, June 23, 2020 (UTC)

Every Servant summoned is essentially a different character if you really think about it, but they're the same core character at the end of the day. For Gilgamesh, Moon Gil has a different "class" and background. For strange fake Gil, he's the second copy of Gil summoned into that world, so it's a unique case. For EMIYA and Nameless, they're slightly different despite being mostly the same, mainly separated due to the true name. Altera on the Moon is the original Titan, while Altera on Earth is the Heroic Spirit "brain" of the Titan's copy. For all other characters, there's really not enough difference to bother. EGGS (talk) 21:53, June 23, 2020 (UTC)
OK thanks. I just wanted to know for sure.--GuessWhoyYoutube (talk) 21:56, June 23, 2020 (UTC)

keep your eye on MoonDrop1[edit source]

that user is a pervert --Eliskuya2 (talk) 20:38, June 27, 2020 (UTC)

He wrote again about Mash and Istar having big/small breasts and so on so since I saw User:EGGS undo his last edits I did the same. Maybe someone should talk to him. --GuessWhoyYoutube (talk) 17:32, June 28, 2020 (UTC)

Sasaki Kojirou: Saber vs Assassin[edit source]

I just rewatched the scene where Musashi meets Nameless Saber (Shimosa Section 15) and he clearly states "I am the true Sasaki Kojirou". We also get two different designs for Sasaki in Shimosa. In the prologue, we see Assassin in Chaldea drawn by Mata, but in the rest of the arc, the one appearing in Shimosa is drawn by Takeuchi. Why would Sasaki get two different designs in the same arc if they weren't different characters? His power is also greater than that of Assassin. Why did you say they are the exact same and why did you cut out the entire Abilities section? If you didn't feel like him being the true Sasaki was accurate, even though it is stated, I think you could have deleted that sentence, but cutting out the entire Abilities section is a bit extreme. GuessWhoYoutube (talk) 09:16, July 28, 2020 (UTC)

He's the same Sasaki as usual, making plenty of allusions to his status. He just settles into the role made for him as the one Musashi must fight. In terms of the rest of the section, it seemed fairly speculatory based on that assumption. EGGS (talk) 23:15, July 28, 2020 (UTC)
That is not the impression I got from the Shimosa arc at all. I'm going with GuessWhoYoutube on this one. Banksia (talk) 23:59, July 28, 2020 (UTC)
The prelude to the fight is "I see. So that is my name." He's just fulfilling the role he's been given, destiny and all that jazz. He then also alludes to his hermit farmer lifestyle when talking to male Musashi. EGGS (talk) 00:24, July 29, 2020 (UTC)
Okay, then why do "characters" like Ushiwakamaru (Chaos Tide) and Musashibou Benkei (Chaos Tide) get their own articles? Banksia (talk) 07:02, July 29, 2020 (UTC)
Enough info on background, personality, role, and abilities to differentiate him. Sasaki in Shimousa is the same person, same personality, same background, and same abilities. He really doesn't even need a separate form section compared to just a sentence in the lead of the article. Compared to him, I've thought about the possibility of splitting out the Shimousa Swordmasters because they're all fairly unique, but they also comprise the bulk of the content for a few of the Servants who only had a major role in that story. EGGS (talk) 12:31, July 29, 2020 (UTC)
Then the Summer servants should get their own articles too. Banksia (talk) 14:49, July 29, 2020 (UTC)
Swimsuits have the particular problem of that they're the same exact characters. So when a character changes into their swimsuit in a comedy event, linking to the swimsuit article makes no particular sense because it's not actually a different character. The bulk of the content unique to each swimsuit also just boils down to "they're slightly different because it's summer." EGGS (talk) 01:10, July 30, 2020 (UTC)

Heroic Spirit Swordmasters[edit source]

Can I create a new article for Berserker Shuten and Rider Minamoto? Maybe all HSS should have their own article but since most of them don't differ too much in terms of background and abilities maybe splitting their info between their regular and HSS counterparts is a bit extreme. However, Minamoto and Shuten were summoned in a different class and therefore even have different NPs. In this case, I think moving their info from the Alternate forms section into new articles is appropriate, just like we did with the Lostbelt servants. What do you think?--GuessWhoYoutube (talk) 10:56, July 31, 2020 (UTC)

EMIYA page mess-up. HELP! EDIT: Fixed.[edit source]

I don't know how it happened, but some how I messed up the EMIYA page by adding an extra 'l' to Illya's name (it was incorrectly spelt as 'Ilya'. Now, somehow, that's screwed the whole page over!

And any time I try to undo it, it won't show up; not even in the history!

We need your help to fix my mistake, because I can't do it myself for some reason!

PLEASE HURRY!OtherOuterHunter (talk) 15:38, August 12, 2020 (UTC)

Okay... I had to manually type everything back in. But I think I've fixed it now. Sorry again, for messing it up in the first place. For some reason, it seemed eveything with bracket got automatically replaced with Emiyatabs. Don't know why that happened.

But, I fixed the page. That's what matters at the moment. That, and I'm sorry.OtherOuterHunter (talk) 16:12, August 12, 2020 (UTC)

If you were using the Visual Editor, try to stick with the Source Editor. Visual is garbage for some reason. EGGS (talk) 21:03, August 12, 2020 (UTC)

Category cleanup[edit source]

Do you mind if I do some cleanup on the wiki's categories? Recommended practice is to have the top categories look something like this:

  • Category:TYPE-MOON Wiki -- main category for the entire wiki
    • Category:TYPE-MOON -- pages and subcategories related to TYPE-MOON
    • Category:Community -- pages and subcategories for wiki-related stuff -- wiki rules, templates, maintenance, user blogs, etc

Separating game-info from wiki-info in this way would make the categories more useful for browsing.

Flanqer 00:53, August 19, 2020 (UTC)

Yes, that's fine. EGGS (talk) 12:24, August 19, 2020 (UTC)
Done. Some stuff in Category:TYPE-MOON might need to be rearranged, but that's up to you. You should also try to work on Special:Uncategorizedpages and Special:Wantedcategories when you have time. Flanqer 21:19, August 31, 2020 (UTC)

Deletion of some pages[edit source]

Hello there. I'd like to know if there are any requirements or process that must be followed before deleting an article. I've seen that someone created articles for Gawain the Mash and Amazoness CEO just two write a they are the alternate versions of Gawain and Penthesilea appearing in Servant Universe. Is this really necessary? I think they should be moved to the Alternate forms sections of the main articles and delete the others. How can I do it?--GuessWhoYoutube (talk) 15:58, August 21, 2020 (UTC)

Differing from the swimsuits, they're literally different characters with different backgrounds and personalities. While less distinct than Heroine X or Space Ishtar, there is inherently enough different about them that warrants having pages. EGGS (talk) 20:08, August 21, 2020 (UTC)

Updating FGO Pages with material info[edit source]

Heya, it's been a while! I just wanted to let you know that a lot of the FGO Servants' pages are not up to date with the mats info, including their Skills which has not been updated in the Skills pages and their NPs which some do not have their pages created yet. Here's a convenient link for all the mats profiles:

Unfortunately, I have not been able to edit the wiki for a while due to how busy I am, but all I can do is keep translating the mats as they come up and refine on some older profiles as well. You don't necessarily have to do this, but I hope whoever is reading this can help contribute to the wiki in my place with the new info (I just feel it's kinda sad to see some pages not updated with the most recent info despite those infos being present on the web for a good while). Furthermore, there are some translated interviews out there that has some nice tidbits, but the wiki has not updated the relevant pages with those interview infos yet. I'll try to help gather those translated interviews if you or anyone else can't find them easily.

Clyton 05:44, August 22, 2020 (UTC)

I've always assumed it's because a big chunk of the fandom doesn't really *like* this wiki. Also I've been around enough fan wikis to know that most people are just straight up adverse to making edits and expect someone else to do it for them. ("Why isn't THIS or THAT added yet, why is THIS or THAT wrong" like gosh, what is the edit button for.) Anyway I've been slowly working through the Skills and Noble Phantasms, but it's limited to just making sure the sections for them are available atm. Proofreading information before copying them will take a lot more time. Banksia (talk)

Sabertabs[edit source]

Could you fix this template "{ta7}" is shown instead of Caster in Caster (Fate/Grand Order - Artoria) ?--Gabriel417 (talk) 08:46, August 30, 2020 (UTC)

Skill Edits[edit source]

You probably already know this EGGS, but there have been a large number of skill renaming edits recently (edits on the Skill pages, renaming links in articles, created redirects and marking old ones for deletion) by a certain user, some justifiable and others less so. Just to be sure, are you OK with these changes? 18:12, September 1, 2020 (UTC)

Unfortunately don't really have enough time to do a deep dive into it, but it's fine if it's just restructuring and properly updating translations. If there's anything blatantly incorrect, please feel free to change things back or post what's incorrect on a talk page. EGGS (talk) 00:07, September 2, 2020 (UTC)

Plato Class?[edit source]

Just wonderin' where we got data on this one. Hawkeye2701 (talk) 21:59, September 26, 2020 (UTC)

The official subs of the special that aired a while back. Have to assume they would have an actual script. EGGS (talk) 22:12, September 26, 2020 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Thanks for the swift answer man. --Hawkeye2701 (talk) 22:25, September 26, 2020 (UTC)

Catalyst[edit source]

So, we're adding catalyst to the pages now? Why just EMIYAs page?

I had that same question regarding the age of the characters. I know characters in the visual novel don't have a determined official age (although in Shirou's page it says he's 17) but what about Mash? She's stated to be 16 at the start of FGO but it's not mentioned on her tabs, whereas Dr Roman being 30 is. Can we add the catalysts and the age of each character yes or no?--GuessWhoYoutube (talk) 10:15, October 9, 2020 (UTC)
Yes and yes as long as the age is explicitly stated. EGGS (talk) 10:55, October 9, 2020 (UTC)
OK. What about cases such as Mash, when it's stated she was 16 at the start of FGO, that it took Chaldea 1 year to defeat Solomon, and that another year past between the Solomon and the Lostbelts. By these statements, we'd have Mash's age = 16 (start of fgo), 17 (start Epic of Remnant), 18 (Lostbelts). What should we do in these cases? Leave it as 16?--GuessWhoYoutube (talk) 12:49, October 9, 2020 (UTC)
"Age (Year stated)", best not to infer things without knowing her exact birth date. EGGS (talk)

References[edit source]

Could you fix the references on this page ?--Gabriel417 (talk) 05:01, October 9, 2020 (UTC)

Fixed. EGGS (talk) 14:17, October 9, 2020 (UTC)

Lancer and Lancer Alter[edit source]

Why are Lancer and Lancer Alter left out, although they're alternate version of Artoria Pendragon ?--Gabriel417 (talk) 13:34, October 9, 2020 (UTC)

The primary Servants are grouped together first and foremost. EGGS (talk) 14:17, October 9, 2020 (UTC)
I'm kinda confused could you explain what you mean, because all other servants were in the Servant and Parody sectiob of the template ?--Gabriel417 (talk) 16:57, October 9, 2020 (UTC)
The actual Servants that are recognized as being King Arthur Artoria get the top line, while the over the top parody characters get the second line, and the non-Servant AU characters get the third line. EGGS (talk) 17:27, October 9, 2020 (UTC)
But why aren't Lancer and Lancer Alter included among the AU characters ?--Gabriel417 (talk) 22:39, October 9, 2020 (UTC)

Image Galleries[edit source]

Hi there,

Sorry to bother you, but I need help. The new wiki format has messed up most of the image galleries and has made so all of the images go downwards instead of across. The slider galleries are still working, but the other ones aren't. They are not allowing me to make the images go across and I'm not exactly sure how to fix it.

Can you please check it out? One of the affected pages is the Fate/Zero page.

Thank you, PhoenixRising PhoenixRising88 (talk) 06:09, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

Looks like it's the captionalign parameter being "left" that is the issue. Switching it to center seems to fix it. EGGS (talk) 10:35, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

Thanks. PhoenixRising88 (talk) 12:40, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

Incantations table[edit source]

the table in this page is literally unreadable

Infobox galleries[edit source]

Hello ;) With the wiki update, tabbers in infoboxes load slower. I found a way to fix it in the french wiki. Do you need some help to do it here as well? UtauSteam (talk) 11:07, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

Yeah, I’ve given up any time I’ve tried to figure out how to fix it, so that would be helpful. EGGS (talk) 16:16, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
Okay, you can check out the Draft I made to show you how it works. I'm not sure about the variables name, so feel free to change them.
Also, the section tabs are hard to use in their default form so here is the css to fix this.
.wds-tabs,.pi-section-navigation {
flex-wrap: wrap;
justify-content: center;

.wds-tabs__tab,.pi-section-tab {

cursor: pointer;

.wds-tabs__tab-label,.pi-section-label {

height: 25px;
margin: 0 5px;

.portable-infobox .pi-section-navigation {

overflow-x: unset;
overflow-y: unset;

.pi-panel-scroll-wrapper.pi-panel-scroll-right:after {

opacity: 0;

} .pi-section-tab:only-of-type {

   display: none;

} .pi-section-label:after {

   content: "▾"

} ul.pi-image-collection-tabs {

   margin: 0;

} Do you need some help on the overall design or it will be fine? UtauSteam (talk) 13:48, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

Renaming Servant articles[edit source]

Have you given any thought to moving Servants from e.g. "Saber (Fate/Grand Order) - Musashi" to "Miyamoto Musashi (Female)"? The current setup is so unhelpful and no other wiki does this; it's not like you can even get that many drop-down results if you type, say, "Saber" in the search bar. (Yes I'm aware of all the work involved.) Banksia (talk) 00:55, 6 November 2020 (UTC)

Yes and no. Obviously, the majority of Servants fall under FGO where the concept of hidden names is all but irrelevant and that makes the current naming setup kind of clunky, but then we have the the 10+ other series in which the current setup makes more sense because the characters are primarily referred to by their class names. It has to be an all or nothing switch, but formatting everything for FGO seems kind of short sighted in the absolute long term.
There's also searching. If someone types in the True Name, it'll instantly bring up the relevant page, but if someone wants to search for "Saber from Fate/X," there's really no elegant way to facilitate that process. That again does kind of fall apart when searching for FGO Servants, but I don't know if it matters due to anyone searching for them more likely than not using the True Name. EGGS (talk) 01:16, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
Well, there's also the fact that no one really uses the page names as is. Example I snagged from the Skills page:

Artoria Pendragon (Lancer), Artoria Pendragon (Alter) (Lancer), Attila the Hun (Saber), Bedivere (Saber), Boudica (Rider), Ganesha (MoonCancer), Hippolyta (True Rider), Medb (Rider), Sigurd (Saber), Tamamo-no-Mae (Swimsuit) (Lancer), Prince of Lanling (Saber)

is what is displayed instead of:

Lancer (Fate/Grand Order - Artoria), Lancer (Fate/Grand Order - Artoria Alter), Saber (Fate/Grand Order - Altera), Saber (Fate/Grand Order - Bedivere), Rider (Fate/Grand Order - Boudica), MoonCancer (Fate/Grand Order - Ganesha), True Rider, Rider (Fate/Grand Order - Medb), Saber (Fate/Grand Order - Sigurd), Playable Caster (Fate/EXTRA)#Swimsuit, Saber (Fate/Grand Order - Prince of Lanling)

How is this not incredibly cumbersome? Banksia (talk) 01:28, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
In terms of utility, it doesn't really matter because the True Name redirects should have been utilized this entire time on pages like that, but I'm not really sure why people tended to trend towards using Desired Name instead. I certainly don't mind putting up a poll to see where general interest lies. If it trends towards True Name article names, we can do a final user-only vote just to be sure. I was thinking of doing that to see if we should do Gilgamesh > "Archer (Fate/Zero)," Sakura 5 > "Alter Ego Letter," etc, so that could kill two bird with one stone.
