Van Gogh (Miner) (ヴァン・ゴッホ 〔マイナー〕, Van Gohho (Mainā)?), Class Name Lancer (ランサー, Ransā?), is a Lancer-class Servant summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru in Fate/Grand Order.
Profile[]
Identity[]
- Main article: Van Gogh
The total raincloud floral artist has undergone a full Class makeover! After a life-changing run-in with a certain artwork, Van Gogh caught a glimpse of the blue-collar bliss and, on a total emotional high, gave her Saint Graph a complete overhaul. Ditching the paintbrush for a pickaxe and with a stash of dynamite and taters in tow, this chipper miner sets off on her grand journey fueled by a quiet resolve to explore the world’s hidden depths!
In his time, Vincent Van Gogh found far greater inspiration in portraying people engaged in their daily toil rather than inanimate objects. He developed a particular fascination with coal mining that ran so deep he would immerse himself in the perilous excavations, experiencing the dangers firsthand, and often giving away his own clothes to the miners as a gesture of charity.
Such were the events that supposedly led him to abandon his religious calling in favor of the artistic path... or so the tongues of rumor have told. With that in mind, one could easily imagine a future where he followed the path of a miner, had other avenues been available to him... Possibly, even likely?
Van Gogh’s fateful meeting with the Heroic Spirit-themed video game Artoria Craft, where the player dips into digging and craftmanship, rekindled her long-lost passion for coal mining. That said, such an occurrence would hardly result in a Saint Graph’s complete change. Nor is there any sign of it being a scheme by her wicked Maker or the divine will of that damned sheep.
She just continues to drift further astray, yet it’s this very errancy that will ultimately guide her to her last horizon. Such is the true essence of the Heroic Spirit Van Gogh—ever-twisting, or perhaps, eternally poised on the cusp of boundless possibility.[1]

Relationships[]
- Leonardo da Vinci / Leonardo da Vinci (Rider)
- "Da Vinci is... a difficult opponent. She's a masterhand, and dominates all the subject matters. Someday, I'd like to distort her Gioconda face with a joke..."[2]
- Nemo
- "Nemo's really concerned about me. I'm sure it's because he's worried that Gogh's unreliable... If it isn't that... I'd like us to be friends again."[2]
- Thomas Edison
- "I'd like to get closer to Thomas Edison. He'd make me work like a cart-horse."[2]
- Tomoe Gozen / Osakabehime / Ganesha

- Mata Hari
- "Lady Mata Hari is really close to me in epoch and region. I'd like us to reminisce those times together. While eating potatoes. ...Ueeh, I-I-I-I-I don't have any ulterior motives!"[2]
- Martha
- "I respect Lady Martha as someone who embodies the virtues of labor. Sometimes she's super-scary, but that's also good."[2]

- Tutankhamun
- "Tuta-chan's awesome! He's so small but he's talented, has character, makes yummy food, and ── he's also scary. He'll use things he mustn't use and go where he mustn't go for his goals. I have to work hard, so that I don't become like that... Also... I don't know what's with exploding at my jokes..."[2]
- Ozymandias
- "Lord Ozymandias is the best! After we built a pyramid in "Ar-cra", he suddenly exclaimed "Not enough!", and then we appreciated the details of building all of Egypt's shrines~! That was~ so much fun~."'[2]

Skills[]
Class Skills[]
- Fizzle (D Rank): Essentially the same as the Mad Enhancement skill, except this condition forces the individual to crack jokes continuously, always and forever. Verbal communication becomes incredibly difficult, though not completely unachievable with some patience. She claims these are typical thoughts, though one must wonder what “typical” even means to her.[1]
- Existence Outside the Domain (D Rank):
- Self-Portrait as a Sunflower (C Rank): Noble Phantasm of the same name, expressed here as a Skill.
Personal Skills[]
- Imaginary Number Arts (3D) (B Rank):
- De Aardappeleters (C Rank): The passion she poured into one of her earliest paintings, “The Potato EatersWP,” sublimated into a skill. By confronting her inner hunger and quenching it, she draws forth the vitality required to get things done. Completely unrelated to the Logos Eater skill.[1]
- Dowsing (B Rank):
- Farewell to the Sun (EX Rank): Upgrade from Dowsing in Fate/Grand Order.
