Profile[]
Identity[]
Wandjina exists high above the world, observing its surface from its skies. At times, Wandjina becomes the blessed water that falls from the skies to soak the earth, enriching all life below. But she was invisible, unable to interact with humans, which consigned her to eons of boredom. This ancient spirit is believed to have existed since the Mesozoic era, when dinosaurs still roamed the world. The rainy season and rain...the source of life. A great Elemental to surpass all others...that is Wandjina. Artwork depicting this great spirit can be found in the KimberleyWP region of northwestern Australia.[1]
While Wandjina already existed on a truly grand scale, she later departed to the stars beyond following an encounter with Chaldea in the Hawaltria Singularity which led to an encounter with Servant Universe that granted Wandjina the aspect of a guardian protecting the seven water stars. And so was born Wandjina the Cosmic Elemental.[1]
She became a legendary savior that brought life-giving rain to a barren planet and a yearlong downpour on a desert planet. And now she's full of energy! She loves humans! With her manifestation as a Servant, Wandjina gained a temporary body humans could perceive, leaving her positively bursting with excitement. (And after learning humans teeter on the verge of extinction, she gets very upset.)[1][2]
At first glance, Wandjina looks like a being from outer space...an alien, frankly. There is a possibility Wandjina looks this way because a certain individual possessing Fairy Eyes who miraculously perceived her during their time on Earth in the past and so manifested in a way which reflected their vision of an "alien descending to Earth."[1]
According the research of mages in the Clock Tower, Wandjina is a natural phenomenon that's been conceptualized, and is considered to be similar to the gods who governed nature in the Age of Gods. Specifically, Wandjina is a spirit on a truly incredible scale, equivalent to a supreme being of myth.[1]
Some argue that beings like this should be differentiated from conventional spirits and instead be called "Great Elementals" or "Super Elementals". This contention may not be too far off, based how the Servants who know or were from the Age of Gods refer to Wandjina. The latest categorization by Chaldea also designates Wandjina as a "Great Elemental".[1]
As a side note, Heroic Spirits from the Servant Universe, such as Mysterious Heroine XX, call the current Wandjina "Cosmic Elmemental".[1]
Appearance[]
The "helmet" that they wear in their First Ascension is actually one of their Noble Phantasms, Wandjinamet.[3] Concerning the koala on their arm, the Wandjina says: “This isn’t a koala, it’s a boomerang.”[1]

Personality[]
Despite their love for humans and desire to contact them, Wandjina could not initially understand human languages.[4]
She typically looks like an innocent, energetic child with a perpetual smile on her face. Her mentality is about what one might expect from her appearance. But, on rare occasions, when she is truly enraged, she demonstrates uncontrollable aggression.[1]
This is likely owed to Wandjina being connected with weather. And so she is an embodiment of both clouds of gentle rain and raging storms. However, this aggression is generally directed against those who abuse nature and humans, so it is safe to think of them as a calm, cheerful Servant.[1]
