Xu FuWP (徐福WP, Jo Fuku?), Class Name Alter Ego (アルターエゴ, Arutā Ego?), is an Alter Ego-class Servant summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order. She also appears as an Archer-class Stray Servant and a Caster-class Servant of Specimen E in the Traum Singularity.
Profile[]
Identity[]
An alchemist who lived during the Qin dynasty, during which Qin Shi Huang requested them to seek him the key to immortality. For the second expedition, Xu Fu was granted an entire fleet of soldiers, sailors, and 3,000 virgin boys and girls. However, Xu Fu never returned from the voyage with many speculating what happened to them.
Recorded in history as a male, she speculates that this is some petty revenge by some bureaucrats who were upset by the fact that Emperor Qin had the audacity to hire a woman to fulfill a task. Despite serving Qin Shi Huang, her driving motivation changed on the day she happened to meet Yu Mei-ren. Xu Fu soon fell head over heels to Yu Mei-ren's charms, and when she learned how much trouble Yu Mei-ren's immortality was causing her, Xu Fu decided to find a way to kill her and put her out of her misery.
It was actually for this reason that she asked Qin Shi Huang to send her on a search for the elixir of immortality. Upon arriving in Japan, she built a settlement and quickly got to work. Although Xu Fu is a first-class Taoist practitioner capable of creating lifelike dolls for human testing and memory-erasing Bounded Fields, she was still unable to arrive at an immortal killing solution in her own time, and had to entrust her work to be carried on by later generations.
While the reason for her materialization as an Alter Ego is a mystery, Xu Fu believes the cause is that her love and dedication to Yu Mei-ren was splintered off into a separate Spirit Origin than that of her more work-oriented Archer and Caster counterparts. [2]
Appearance[]
Her hair covers her left eye twice over due to how the ribbon wrapped around her head works.
Personality[]
Although she's definitely on the gloomy side, she's a surprisingly good communicator, and is unafraid to speak her mind to anyone except Qin Shi Huang. She's also much more confident in her own abilities than you might expect from her obsequious-seeming attitude. The fact that she's downright cowardly about taking part in combat that's not in her narrowly-defined wheelhouse only makes her more charming (according to Xu Fu herself, anyway).
She can be decidedly rude, even towards her own Master, making her seem more like a bad influence type of friend rather than a Servant. However, she does behave noticeably differently towards Yu Mei-ren, whom she greatly admired, and Mash, whom she considers something of a living treasure.

Role[]
Fate/Grand Order[]
Summer Event: Chaldea Thriller Night 2020/2022[]
Some time later, Xu Fu was summoned as a Servant and created a Singularity centered around her old settlement. She is the mastermind behind the event, the person behind Abigail Williams and Kiara Sessyoin's rampage at Paradise Lake in Mt. Hourai, for her true plan of finally completing her immortal slaying solution to kill the immortal Yu Mei-ren.
Event: Battle in New York 2022[]
Traum: Realm of the Thanatos Impulse[]
Abilities[]
All of her research is accumulated into a mask that has every possible method of murder inscribed into it that can kill immortals. The incomplete mask was able to almost murder Kiara when she came to investigate the Singularity and could have been able to kill Yu had she died a seventh time to complete the mask.
She uses Fangshi Magecraft, though not much.[5]
Skills[]
Class Skills[]
- Item Construction (B+ Rank): A magecraft skill that does exactly what it says. In Xu Fu's case, it provides an extra bonus when constructing anything having to do with immortality.[1]
- Settlement Creation (E Rank): Never mind just territory; this skill lets Xu Fu whip up entire villages unaffiliated with any country where plenty of people can live. Even if her Bounded Field creations, rule plans, Charisma, and so on aren't up to the level of a real nation, making a real village on her own is no small accomplishment.[1]
- High-Servant (D Rank): Xu Fu attempted to incorporate two Divine Spirits into her Spirit Origin when she first materialized as a Servant. One was Japan's Ame-no-MahitotsuWP, and the other was China's ShennongWP (the immortal emperor of grains). However, she only incorporated a part of their abilities, so it's really more like she borrowed their power rather than making it her own. This is why she doesn't have the Divinity Skill.[1]
- Weakness (Yu Mei-ren) (EX Rank): Xu Fu became something of a Yu Mei-ren fanatic after they met while she was still alive, which now gives her some very strong debuffs when facing Yu Mei-ren in battle.[1]
Personal Skills[]
- Grain Veneration (B Rank): Protection granted from the five types of grains Xu Fu brought to Japan from China, and derived from the borrowed power of the agriculture god in High Servant. It restores her HP, cures status ailments, and so on.[1]
- Taoism Arts (External) (A Rank): Xu Fu is a Taoist arts (fangshu) specialist. They enable her to do anything from create Bounded Fields to exorcise evil spirits. In this context, Taoist arts are essentially a kind of thought-based magecraft, but are treated as a separate skill from Thought Keys due to their limited connection to the memory space.[1]
- Legend of Xu Fu (C Rank): Xu Fu traveled from China to Japan as part of her search for an elixir of immortality, and she brought all manner of items and cultural practices with her. There are numerous regions throughout Japan to which Xu Fu is said to have given something of great importance (ironworking, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, etc.), and these legends are still celebrated today in various Japanese shrines. As a Servant, this skill enables Xu Fu to more easily incorporate various Divine elements.[1]
Noble Phantasm[]
Xu Fu's main Noble Phantasms is I Present You the Elixir of Immortality <Lie>. The elixir of immortality. Tentatively simulated by a Noble Phantasm. Doesn't give eternal youth nor immunity to death. The effects differ depending on whether she gives it to someone or personally ingests it. If she uses it on someone, the receiver is damaged, and if she ingests it, it quickens her recovery.[1]
Xu Fu's second Noble Phantasm is Immortal-Killer <Failure>. A Concealed Noble Phantasm that ended incomplete. Although she failed to achieve her Immortal-Killer, she still accumulated all forms of death, meaning she can confer death to any organism by reducing the possibility of survival to the minimum. Has barely any effect against certain targets: those never fated to die, those related to the netherworld, etc.[1]
Forms and Alternate Versions[]
Swimsuit[]
Personality[]
As a result of her decision to choose horror as her design concept for changing classes to Avenger, Xu Fu has a slightly more savage side to herself. That said, despite some minor downgrades to her communication skills, she still that extremely approachable bad influence(?) friend Servant.
She still prioritizes Lady Yu, but perhaps due to their long-standing association, she's been getting progressively more relaxed and friendly. One of the rare few Servants would kick Master's behind. Be as it may, this is a proof of trust. Surrender yourself to it without protest... No, on further thought, you should at least pinch her cheek.[6]
Abilities[]
- Class Skills
- Avenger (Token) (B+ Rank): She has token avenger qualifications due to absorbing elements from horror movies. Because most serial killers in the silver screen go on a journey of revenge for some reason or another.[6]
- Oblivion Correction (EX Rank): She'll never abandon her devotion and pining, let alone forget it.[6]
- High-Servant (- Rank): As a result of her class change, she has lost access to all of the Divine Spirit abilities she gained as an Alter Ego.[6]
- Weakness (Yu Mei-ren) (EX Rank): She developed a passionate devotion to Yu Mei-ren from their encounter during her life. She'll be severely weaker if she's antagonizing Yu Mei-ren. (Demerit)[6]
- Personal Skills
- Taoism Arts (Doll Manipulation) (A+ Rank): Xu Fu is an expert in Taoist arts (fangshu). With her class change to Avenger, she improved this Skill by specializing it in Doll Manipulation. The Lady Yu doll is not its only manipulation target, as attendant dolls are also included. The Taoist Arts mentioned here are a kind of Philosophy Magecraft, but this Skill limits the range of her connection to the Philosophy Foundation, making it distinct from the Philosophy Key skill.[6]
- Territory Evolution (Settlement) (B++ Rank): An improved version of a Caster-class Skill. She can set a Boundary over a fixed domain of space and grant it the abilities of a settlement. It's a mage's territory, but one that also fulfills its functions as a community, therefore, she earns revenue (including in magical energy), meager as it may be. The more effort she puts into the community's administration, the more magical energy she'll gain.[6]
- Collection of Deaths (A Rank): In the past, Xu Fu collected all forms of death for Yu Mei-ren. Her vast collection of concepts of death for one Mystic Code that strikes the weaknesses of her enemies. Poison to those weak to poison, fire to those weak to fire.[6]
- Noble Phantasm
Xu Fu's Noble Phantasm is Expiring at Evening, Chainsawing at Twilight.
